THE IMPORTANCE OF CARBOHYDRATES

Carbohydrates are a significant component of organic matter in all soils. Proper Carbohydrate levels should account for 5 to 20 percent of soil organic matter. Not only do Carbohydrates comprise 50 to 70 percent of dry-weight plant matter, but it is an essential constituent of soil microbiology, both as structural and as cellular components fulfilling metabolic roles. Microorganisms degrade Carbohydrates to metabolizable substances, which are most readily available for soil organisms. Plant-derived sugars serve as a significant source of energy and Carbon for soil biology. The survival of aerobic bacteria in soil is entirely dependent on moisture, aeration, proper pH, and plenty of food (Carbohydrates).

WHY SHOULD I FEED BIOLOGY?

Universities established the number; approximately only 60% of all the world’s fertilizers and auxiliary nutrients applied to soils never make it to the plant. This is an astonishing number. Some data sources indicate that known Phosphate mines will run out in the next few decades and that Nitrogen is not too far behind. So, what is happening? Plants require micronized nutrients, and the only acceptable method for plants is nutrients that have been processed and micronized by microbiology in the soil. The roots of plants provide the habitat for the bugs, while the rich, moist, and carb-filled soil provides the fuel for the soil bugs to do their job: chew up and micronize the nutrients. Soil biology starves to death in most soils due to insufficient organic matter. Certain biologies are also directly responsible for immune system support in plants! Fertilizers today are often working only because of the microscopic dusting on the outer layer of the particles in the fertilizer. The rest of the fertilizer, in turn, drives soil pH into erratic swings due to the harsh pH of the fertilizers applied in abundance, and additionally eventually leach into the water tables or runoff into streams. A recent EPA study revealed that 55% of American streams and rivers are polluted with fertilizers. Without proper soil biology, soil vitality with deplete, as will increase crop yields – year after year.

Within the excellent benefits of BlueGold® Super Carb, we enhanced it even further with a unique Alfalfa Extract (a known source of Triacontanol) and Japanese Knotweed Extract (Resveratrol source). Triacontanol is being used today as a growth stimulant. In the mid-seventies, a study performed by Stanley K. Ries et al. was conducted, and significant increases in growth and productivity were observed in plants that were close to alfalfa hay (Medicago sativa L). Some investigations have estimated and decided that the active principle in alfalfa is 1-triacontanol. We are currently in a day and age that we are all well aware of the side effects of compounds created through synthesis which do not have the supporting other elements initially designed for such active principles to be effective without side effects. In studies, the smaller the amounts of 1-triacontanol used, the better the results (as little as 0.1 mg/L). In the independent study, here at Eden Solutions, we have discovered that an Alfalfa extract, with all the supporting compounds and structures of the plant (with triacontanol in its natural state), works better than the synthesized version.

Resveratrol has been widely studied, and many have been published to the National Library of Medicine and the National Institute of Health. Resveratrol is a phytochemical and has been proven to suppress the growth of various phytopathogens. It has further been confirmed to have antioxidative and cytoprotective properties. Resveratrol is being used in many ways today to enhance medicines and supplements with improved biofortification.

BlueGold® Super Carb Tri-Res is an OMRI-listed Input (please contact your certifier before use). We recommend Apical Crop Science Soil and Sap testing. Rates depend on the PPM change needed. Use only according to the manufacturer’s directions. 

Do not use with synthetically enhanced or grow media with excesses of Na Sodium, Chlorides, Aluminum, Sulfur, Magnesium, Potassium, NO3/NH4, Iron, and Boron with BlueGold®. We strongly recommend avoiding ocean-based products high in Na Sodium, Chlorides, and other salts with our Solutions and Sulfur-based products, salt, and heavy metal humus, manures (primarily commercial), and composts (especially mushroom, dead animal, etc.), etc. These inputs are upside down with excesses. The BlueGold® Grow System is based on balanced Nutritionals. By itself, BlueGold®, at recommended rates using Apical Testing, will not harm ANY crop, plant, biology, system, human, animal, environment, pollinator, or beneficial (including birds, butterflies, earthworms, etc.). Do NOT combine with pesticides/chemicals/plant cleaners/etc. Very recent or current use of chemicals like fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, algaecides, bactericides, miticides, pesticides, biocides, fumigants, plant growth regulators, pH Up/Down chemicals, dyes, etc., – all can cause an unfavorable interaction due to the Wetting Agent properties of BlueGold® Solutions, which can magnify the strength of said chemical. Strengthened doses of those chemicals can result in direct stress, burning, or death of plants. BlueGold® Solutions by themselves, at recommended rates, without chemical interactions, will never cause these issues in any plant or soil (when used as directed). Users must respect BlueGold® labels and manufacturer warnings to not combine with chemical/synthetic/excess element inputs by +/- 90%. It is the user’s choice against our directions/recommendations. If you encounter problems in the plants from the previously mentioned by your choice, STOP. If you quickly move the pH to 6.4 with the help of pH adjusters, without adjusting inputs, you’re drastically making inputs more available, which results in stressed, burned, or dead plants from too big of a hit from the nutrients that are now available at a much higher % than previously. This is especially true when all the chemical/synthetic/excesses stored up flood the plants at even higher EC/PPM values. Likewise, if you do not adjust inputs while using BlueGold®, as soil/sap pH is driven to 6.4, the same can happen over an extended period depending on soil and watering conditions.
